INTRODUCTION
Micah Peavy is a forward from TCU. He had his freshman season at Texas Tech before transferring to TCU, where he played for 3 seasons, finishing his senior year with 10.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. After entering the transfer portal, he transferred to Georgetown for the 2024/2025 season.
Peavy has extraordinary athleticism that allows him to be defensively active in passing lanes (1.3 steals per game), while offensively, he can easily get to the rim with an explosive first step. He can improve in finding alternative solutions if his first offensive idea doesn’t materialize.
This season, he also recorded a triple-double against Arizona State, showcasing his versatility on the court. He is an excellent runner in transition and a decent rebounder. Over the years, he has consistently improved his three-point shooting (0-16-27-31% on 2.6 attempts) – he doesn’t yet have a fluid shooting motion but is working on it. He can also continue to improve his ballhandling.
Defensively, he is an excellent 1-on-1 defender, both against guards and forwards. The level of his professional career will certainly depend on improvements in his outside shooting; however, he has interesting characteristics.
