INTRODUCTION
Nique Clifford is a guard/wing in his fourth college season. After three years at Colorado, he transferred to Colorado State. His seasons at Colorado were average, never recording significant statistics, with a maximum of 6.7 points and 4.6 rebounds in his sophomore year. However, in his year at Colorado State, he showed some of his potential and talent, recording 12.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Regarding his characteristics, Clifford is a guard/wing with good playmaking and ball handling, although his true assist skills can improve (he still records 3 assists per game with 1.8 turnovers). He knows how to control the pace of his game. He is one of the best dunkers in his conference, with long arms. Additionally, he is an exceptional rebounder for his position (6.6 defensive rebounds and 1.1 offensive rebounds per game), thanks mainly to his outstanding athleticism. During his college career, he developed a decent three-point shot (37.6% this season), which, combined with his explosiveness in penetration (also managing defender contact well), makes him a good offensive option for Colorado State.
Defensively, his potential is high, but he currently performs below what he could; with his physical abilities, he should never be beaten 1-on-1 (0.9 blocks and 1.4 steals per game). His professional career will depend on being a good all-around player in decent-level contexts or a 3&D player at a higher level.
