INTRODUCTION
Dajuan Gordon is a guard/swingman (not a primary ball handler) from UT Arlington. His college career was dynamic, involving four different teams in five years. He spent his first two years at Kansas State, nearly averaging double digits as a sophomore, then transferred to Missouri for his junior year (8.3 points per game) and New Mexico for his first senior year (9.3 points per game). In his final college year at UT Arlington, he played a key role and was named to the WAC All-Conference first team.
Gordon’s game is built on energy and physical effort. He is an exceptional rebounder for his position (8.2 per game), likely one of the best in college basketball considering his height-to-rebound ratio. In every play, both offensive and defensive, he aggressively goes for rebounds, either grabbing offensive boards or boxing out with great intensity.
Defensively, he often guards the opponent’s most dangerous player. Offensively, he can shoot threes (though his percentage is not exceptional – 31.4% on 3.7 attempts per game) but prefers to drive to the basket with force. He cannot be the primary offensive option despite averaging 12.9 points at UT Arlington. He is also effective in transition. However, he needs to learn to channel his energy better, as he often gets out of control, resulting in turnovers (3 per game) and fouls (3 per game).
