INTRODUCTION: Jalen Graham is a power forward/center in his second and final season at Arkansas, after spending his first 3 years in college at Arizona State (in his junior season, he was named in the second team All-PAC-12).
The minutes he has found at Arkansas has been limited, although, whenever he has been involved, he has always shown his value (7.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 14.8 minutes).
He is a dynamic big man, with good foot speed, but he completely lacks from beyond the arc (only one attempted three-pointer this season). His post game is really strong, particularly highlighting a dangerous spin move and a good hook shot (shooting at 56.9%). His athletic abilities also allow him to attack 1-on-1 and run in transition with good results. At Arkansas, he often plays alongside another big man and is not the designated player for pick and roll situations. Arkansas’ offensive system, always rich in talent, focuses on other players.
Defensively, he is a good player, capable of guarding his opponent even outside the arc and in 1-on-1 situations, especially when switching on pick and rolls. He is a good rim protector with an average of 1.1 blocks in 14.8 minutes per game.
His weaknesses include a non-existent three-point shot and a subpar free-throw shooting percentage (43.2% – although he doesn’t often go to the FT line). He often encounters foul trouble. Lastly, he is a good rebounder, although he could still improve.
