INTRODUCTION
Marcus Domask is a small forward with good general technique, he loves to play in the post but needs to improve his 3-point shooting. He is a forward who loves to play against smaller players to exploit his ability to dribble in the post with his back to the basket. In this skill he is one of the best in the team and is able to score regularly inside the area. However, he shows an inconsistent 3-point shot, his career has been a mix of ups and downs with last season ending with a bad 30%. In modern basketball this is no longer an acceptable percentage for almost any player and it certainly needs to be more constant. He has good body management as demonstrated by the few fouls committed despite him often being among the first to reach the rebound. He has an excellent free throw percentage that is close to 90% and this must be a plus for his career. Unfortunately he is not equipped with great agility or a first step that allows him to be a threat in front of the basket. Marcus Domask was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team in the 2023-24 season for the coaches’ choice.
