INTRODUCTION

Lado Laku is a center with a combination of size and mobility that is of great interest. An excellent finisher around the rim (75.9% last season and over 60% in his NCAA career), he moves well off the ball and as a roller. While he has a few solid post-up moves, improving his footwork could make him more versatile on drives. However, his shooting range is very limited; outside of the paint or face-up at the basket, he needs to develop a game. His size makes him a potential game-changer defensively, where he is an elite rim protector and a solid rebounder. He can struggle when called to defend the perimeter on switches due to his lateral mobility, but his wingspan prevents easy shots even in those situations. Overall, he is a raw player with great potential and defensively capable of making an impact. His profile is suitable for lower leagues where his Cotonou status is an important asset.
